We are looking for an experienced and driven Demand Manager to join our DEKRA Digital Solutions team. This role plays a critical function in intake, coordination, and prioritization of IT infrastructure demands across the enterprise.
You will serve as the entry point for all infrastructure-related initiatives, working closely with internal stakeholders, engineers, and project managers to ensure that demands are clearly defined, properly assessed, and aligned with IT’s strategic direction. While this is not a hands-on engineering role, you will need solid technical literacy to understand and evaluate requests involving cloud, network, and infrastructure technologies.
- Manage the full lifecycle of infrastructure-related demands from submission to transition into execution.
- Classify incoming demands into appropriate channels (Service Request, Change Request, Project).
- Coordinate with technical teams and project managers to ensure scope, timelines, and resource needs are well defined.
- Ensure each request includes sufficient technical and business context before progressing through approval.
- Support prioritization activities based on strategic alignment, technical feasibility, and capacity.
- Maintain and report on the demand pipeline, backlog health, and performance metrics.
- Organize and facilitate intake and prioritization meetings with IT and business stakeholders.
- Ensure transparent and traceable governance processes for all infrastructure-related demands.
- Continuously improve intake processes and propose refinements based on stakeholder feedback and performance data.

- Owning skills at least 5+ years experience in IT infrastructure, demand management, or IT service management roles, strong understanding of IT infrastructure concepts: Cloud technologies (especially Microsoft Azure: IaaS, PaaS, networking, and security components), Networking fundamentals: firewalls, VPNs, DNS/DHCP, load balancers, SD-WAN, Virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V), Modern workplace tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, endpoint solutions), Basic understanding of data center operations, storage, and compute infrastructure, Experience working with ServiceNow (Demand, Change modules) and Power BI, SharePoint, or PowerApps is a strong plus, Experience with ITIL practices; ITIL Foundation certification preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work with technical and non-technical stakeholders across functions.
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable professional qualification
- Very good English skills (German is an additional benefit)
