Role Summary
The Senior Enterprise Architect guarantees the coherent development of the entire information system, while respecting the company's objectives, the functional domain and external and internal constraints (risks, costs, deadlines, etc.), and by making the most of applicable possibilities in relation to the technology architecture. Drives the Application Consolidation Program by providing strategic architectural guidance, structured analysis, and decision making support.
This position leads governance activities and orchestrates stakeholders across PPBs, Corporate Functions, Service Divisions, and Regions to ensure alignment toward a simplified, cost effective, and capability driven application landscape.
Operating in a matrix environment, the role requires leadership without formal authority: influencing Solution Architects and area leaders through expertise, structure, and credibility and team work rather than hierarchical power.
Key Responsibilities:
Information System Design
  • Defines and Governs the mapping of the information system to business and technology building blocks.
  • Ensures the ongoing integrity of Application Landscape mapping in relation to the master plan.
  • Specifies and validates Application Landscape urbanization standards and guidelines (design guardrails)
  • Proposes scenarios for upgrading and simplifying the Application Landscape, considering management decisions, changes in the offer, changing needs, organizational constraints, etc.
  • Identifies and analyzing the strategic roadmap, steps to achieve the target vision the execution of change toward desired business vision and outcomes.
Business and application landscape Harmonization & Modernization
  • Structure and lead consolidation governance, ensuring alignment with global architectural principles and strategic objectives.
  • Organize and facilitate consolidation meetings with Solution Architects and other area stakeholders across PPBs and Regions.
  • Provide structured analysis and clear recommendations using EA repository insights, capability models, and architectural evaluations.
  • Clarify priorities, expectations, timelines, and next steps to ensure coordinated and consistent execution across all domains.
  • Making the data and application landscape consistent with the business objectives.
  • Identifying the right business areas of focus for improving company performance.
  • Assess the relevance and coherence of projects in relation to the target architecture and existing systems (through opportunity studies, requirements definition, choice of functional system architecture, etc.).
Communication
  • Promotes information system mapping through consulting and communication to business departments and direction.
  • Works in close and permanent contact with, on the one hand, the business line managers, and on the other hand with functional and technical IT managers.

  • Owning skills at least 5+ years’ work experience in Solution and Enterprise Architecture, known experience of a Global Environment, or at least country level with multiple Legal entities, knowledge of global Enterprise Architecture Framework and decision tools (SNOW, LUY, TOGAF, etc.), Hands-on experience with application harmonization initiatives and KPIs
  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, or a comparable professional qualification
  • Proficiency in English language, German language is of advantage
