Purpose of the Role
We are looking for a visionary Azure Cloud Architect to drive the modernization of our Azure platform. This is a high-impact role centered on maturing our Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, expanding our AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) footprint, and transitioning our current environment into a highly scalable, modular, and automated ecosystem.
You will lead the strategic alignment of existing resources into a modern Terraform framework while ensuring our container orchestration strategy is robust and future-proof. As the foundation evolves, you will serve as the primary architect for all Azure-related projects and innovations.
Your contribution to achieving global safety, security, and sustainability:
1. Infrastructure Maturity, AKS & Migration
  • IaC Standardization: Drive the strategy to consolidate and transition existing Azure resources and AKS clusters into a unified, version-controlled Terraform architecture.
  • Refactoring & Optimization: Evolve current configurations into modular, reusable patterns that follow industry best practices for scalability, security, and container orchestration.
  • Architectural Alignment: Review and refine the Azure environment to ensure it adheres to the latest Well-Architected Framework principles (Reliability, Security, and Cost Optimization).
  • Automated Delivery: Design and implement sophisticated CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions) to enable seamless, automated deployments for both infrastructure and AKS-based workloads.
2. Strategic Collaboration & Governance
  • Blueprint Design: Work in close contact with other units of the Company for the design and implementation of infrastructure blueprints, ensuring global alignment and technical excellence.
  • Technical Roadmap: Define and own the long-term architectural vision for the Azure environment to support business growth.
  • Governance & Operational Standards: Establish and maintain standards for Log Management, Azure Policy, and Cost Management. Focus on the standardization of operational processes to ensure long-term environmental health and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as the bridge between engineering and business stakeholders to ensure cloud infrastructure meets evolving organizational needs.

  • Owning skills at least 8+ years experience in IT infrastructure, with at least 4+ years focused on Azure Solutions Architecture.
  • Terraform Expertise: Advanced proficiency in state management, module development, and transitioning legacy configurations to modern IaC standards.
  • AKS & Containerization: Deep hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), including cluster configuration, scaling, and management.
  • Networking & Security: Strong understanding of Azure networking (VNETs, Peering, Application Gateway) and identity management (Entra ID).
  • CI/CD Mastery: Proven experience building complex pipelines in Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
  • Transformation Projects: Experience managing "Brownfield" migrations or large-scale infrastructure modernization efforts.
  • Completed studies in computer science, business informatics, industrial engineering or a comparable professional qualification
  • Certifications: Preferred certifications include AZ-305 (Azure Solutions Architect Expert) or AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert).
  • Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Strong communication skills with a track record of driving technical initiatives or mentoring engineering teams.
